Emma Larsson, based in Stockholm, Sweden, works in watercolor and graphite. As a whole, Larsson's work can be seen as a continual exploration of play, delving into poetic compositions that loosely reference the natural world and undefined histories. Composed of organ-like shapes, folksy patters, and unexpected textural moments, Larsson's work creates an entirely new language, at once completely familiar and also, extraterrestrial. In Larsson's own words: "I'm a tireless explorer. What I am constantly seeking for, needs to be unknown to me. Creating my art is about playing and exploring freely."
